This weekend went to downtown Annapolis just to walk around. We walked around near the water and stumbled upon the Kunta Kinte Memorial. For those who don't know Kunta (and Alex Haley) was the subject of the Roots series narrative and was brought to the US as a slave to Annapolis, Maryland. My son Emmanuel was born in Annapolis.
